They were at the Washington Park Zoo Ampitheater and it was about 99 degrees in the air and the pavement was about 20 degrees hotter, but not sitting in the front row to hold our seats would have been the easy way. Here are the songs, in no realy order:

Ghost Riders, When Payday Rolls Around, Red River Valley, I ride an old paint, Cool Water, I'm gonna leave old Texas now (with the kids on the stage) Pecos Bill, Blue Shadows on the Trail, Ride Cowboy Ride, Hoop-Dee-Doo, Wah-Hoo, Palindrome, He walks with the wild and the lonely, Looney tunes theme, Happy trails, The Phantom of the Chuckwagon, Don't fence me in, Back in the saddle again, Down the trail to San Antone (soundcheck) Buffalo gals, That's how the yodel was born, Lights of old Santa Fe, Along the Navajo Trail, Face:The Music, Sioux City Sue, Cherokee, One more Ride, You are my Sunshine, Surfin' USA (not my request)

I was visiting with the man next to me when Slim and Joey arrived on the stage. Slim waved in my direction and when I didn't wave back, he said, "Hi Alexandra." Boy did that get my attention fast! Then Joey smiled and said, "Hey, how's it going?" Later, when Doug came out, he got all wide eyes, grinned his trade mark smile, and said hi. He also told me he had really enjoyed my story.

What can I say about the concert to top that? I took a lot of pics and got a couple of winks and a lot of smiles from the stage. My shirt really makes me stand out and they could see me moving around. Doug caught me singing along and smiled.

After the concert was over and we were going through the line to talk with the guys and get pictures I asked Woody how he was and he said he's doing GREAT! Slim and Joey were standing close together and Slim was doing voices (Slocum, Sidemeat) while he signed autographs. When I hugged him I said, "Too crazy huh Slim?" I also asked him what time the concerts were the next day and he seemed a little surprised that I'd be there. When he said that, I told him we'd come all the way from Idaho to see them and he said, "All the way from Moscow huh?" Too cool! And my Dad was there taking the pictures, they figured out who he was and said it was nice to meet him as well. That made my Dad feel pretty good.

But, backtracking a little to questions. My Dad asked who did the voice of Yodel in the phantom of the valley. (Slim) One of the kids asked what the accordian was called. It took the guys by surprise, but Joey finially figured it out and said it's name was Bobbie. I wanted to get THE LOOK from Doug, to try and get a picture of it so I asked, "which is better for the cowboy way, boxers or briefs?" After Doug completely lost it, Woody and Joey stopped looking shocked, and Slim recovered enought to talk, they gave the the 8-track, which I wasn't trying for. I did get a picture of their reaction and it's on it's was to Bobbie.
