Well, Linda, Nancy and I all had a hoot at the RITS concert tonight. I believe Nancy took notes so she can give you the show number and song list. It was great to meet Steve, too. He brought his guitar for the RITS to sign. A neat idea! Lots of kids but they didnt call them onstage. They did mention that they would probably be back in B'ville around this time next year, too.

We all ate at the bbq dinner beforehand (no RITS there in public!). We perused the merc and Linda spent all her hard earned moulah...haha. I spent a whole $2 on their new boomper schticker and 2 of Ranger Doug's guitar picks. Lucky for us, Woody's daughter was manning the merc! What a happy gal she is. (she put in a lot of plugs for 'dad', too).

Maybe I had the hootiest time 'cause I had so much fun with those signs I made! haha. The last one I made that I didnt mention before was "Accordian to me Joey is the key". hee hee. Ranger Doug gave the cyberpals a great review and plugged the chats on Tuesday nights ('cause no better way to spend a Tuesday night, he said)! We did a Burma Shave version of signs for them which Slim got the biggest kick out of. Six people held up a different sentence...2 of them were not even in our group! (now that's audience participation!). Here's the order and what they said: 1. We've come this far 2. To see our stars 3. Joey, Woody, Doug, 'n' Slim 4. Make us yodel, laugh and grin 5. We don't have to behave 6. Try Burma Shave...for woolies. The real kicker was just before we actually held up the last 'burma shave' part, Slim blurted out 'Burma Shave!' LOL! We got 'em. Also, after Slim did a little bit of Sidemeat in his Phantom scene he said 'I'll bet you don't have a sign for Sidemeat'....but I showed 'em...I held up the sign that said "I'm in Sidekick Heaven". He liked it so much he had me turn it around for the whole audience to see!

During the show, of course, question time came up. It ended up a young boy who asked what year they started the 'band'...they said 'you weren't even born yet. You don't even know what an 8-track is!' So they gave it to him! haha. Then Nancy finally asked Doug "Have you had any b'day cake today??" He said yes, but with some hesitation. Then Linda presented the cake! Doug said, 'Is it LEMON?' of course it was! BIG SMILE. Woody hopped down from stage and then brought it to Doug. Woody knows he's really loved 'cause I had a 'I (heart) Woody' sign.

Also, after the show, Joey gave me a bear hug and then I gave him his adorable hunny bear. I managed to find a really cute wittle wamb for Woody and gave it to him as well after the show. Joey was thrilled and and said he wanted to give it to his daughter. I asked them to give it to their kids or HHH. Doug got a proxy hug from DJ from me and said very kindly how much he enjoyed everything we did for him.

I think I did purtiest job on Too Slim's sign, "Too Slim Forheifer" and I gave it to him. He really liked it! Said he'd hang it over his desk, or bed or something like that. I think Roberta will appreciate it, too! (I didnt have a critter for him...but he mentioned how the little armadillos seemed to be multiplying! There were 3 'dillos on stage hovering around the faux fire-ya think any of you recognize them?? LOL).

We managed to have a grand time despite the fact that my sister, Nancy's son, and Linda's husband were completely embarrassed by us.

Well, the next b'day is my Mom's and that's tomorrow (the 21st).

Did I forget to mention we took the Riders bus hostage?

Wahoooooooooo! Spring has sprung!

Conifer
