Riders in the Sky
in Pasco, Washington
with Baxter Black and the mid-Colombia Symphony

December 11, 1998

Like she said, it was a great show! (Lee and I were in the cheap seats, section "C", and we didn't even know Tiff was there until after the show! Drat!!) [We wondered why Doug was crackin' up... now we know!] Boy, it sure coulda helped if we'd a known what you _look_ like, Tiff! :) (Me, I was the guy wearing the white outfit with the BMW sweater.) But, although we didn't meet Tiff (maybe next year, same town, different locale?), after hanging around long enough by the Too Slim's Mercantile table [wait... here it comes...] we actually got to meet The Riders! AND Joey! We got some autographs, and chatted a bit about this and that (Joey exclaiming that since Lee had his solo album and I owned "The Looney West", that we were both discerning musical experts (or something... I'm still trying to cool down from the excitement!), Doug saying that the RITS would love to do an orchestral album, but it's sorta cost prohibitive (something to do with record labels not wanting to fund it or somethin'...), and Joey (again) telling me a little more about The LOONEY WEST and how it was recorded.) Like Tiff said, a great show! (at the risk of repeatin' myself like one of Baxter's cows... ;) ) When we told them we were Cyberpals, they said, "You are? Great!" (Apparently, Cyberpaldom has its privielges!) No question, these guys are the genuine article.

Well, I gotta hitch up my coffee wagon and mosey on down the cybertrail. I'm sure Lee remembers the details more clearly than I do (oh, sure... HE took NOTES!!!), so you'll be hearing from him shortly. And Tiff, we'll try it again next year! (I'll be wearing the same white outfit with the Beemer sweater, so at least you'll find _me_! ;) )

Happy Cybertrails, pardners!
